Course Description
The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Edition 10 Training Course provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to implement, maintain, and continuously improve a food safety and quality management system in alignment with the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) benchmarked SQF Code, Edition 10. This course explores the structure and intent of Edition 10, with a strong focus on practical application in manufacturing, processing, and distribution environments.
Objectives
Develop, implement, and manage an SQF Food Safety System compliant with Edition 10.
Align SQF programs with regulatory requirements such as FSMA and USDA/FSIS.
Integrate the new Food Safety Culture Plan, verification, and validation processes into existing operations.
Prepare for SQF audits and maintain certification through effective continuous improvement practices.
Audience
This course is designed for professionals responsible for developing, implementing, or maintaining food safety and quality systems within their organization. It provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program and the SQF Code requirements applicable to both growing and farming operations as well as processing and manufacturing environments.
The course applies across all food sector categories—manufacturing, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution—and is ideal for both newly appointed and experienced food safety professionals preparing for SQF certification or recertification.
